Do you treat atypical carcinoid of the lung with N2 or N3 nodal involvement with definitive concurrent chemoradiation?
Would there be any benefit to surgery in a healthy/good PS patient? There is so little data on pulmonary atypical carcinoid and radiation response.

I agree that these are very difficult cases due to the lack of data for either radiation or chemotherapy responsiveness in bronchopulmonary NETs.

Intermediate-grade (atypical) bronchial carcinoid is different from NSCLC or SCLC and we shouldn't follow the same treatment algorithm. There are significant biological differences and responses to treatment between these diseases.
