If a/b is about 3 for cord, then the BED to cord is: 8 Gy in 1 = 29.320 Gy in 5 = 46.730 Gy in 10 = 60 Even taking time into consideration, re-treating after 8 in 1 is very safe and if you would do it after 30 in 10, you can safely do after 8 in 1 (as the Chow study mentioned above, notes)...
