Compared with other thyroid carcinomas, Hürthle cell cancer has a lower avidity for 131I; therefore, treatment with radioactive iodide has limited efficacy

I’m not a thyroid expert. @Bob Amdur or Roi Dagan are better versed on the topic. It’s fine to try RAI but it’s less likely to be effective compared with papillary.
