How do you select the concurrent cisplatin dose and schedule when treating locally advanced endometrial cancer with chemoradiation?
If a weekly schedule is chosen, what would be the appropriate weekly dose given that PORTEC-3 and GOG 258 used two cycles of cisplatin 50 mg/m2?
Answer from: Radiation Oncologist at Community Practice
For locally advanced endometrial cancer treated with pre operative or definitive intent, we use weekly cisplatinum at 40mg/m2. Vargo et al., PMID 25218303
Just like @Sushil Beriwal, for most patients, I give cisplatin 40mg/m2 weekly as a radiosensitizer for definitive chemo radiation in uterine cancer. If the patient has poor renal function or is frail, then I will typically give carboplatin AUC 2 weekly.
