How would you treat a patient with metastatic cancer with a lesion invading the small bowel causing bleeding and potential obstruction?
Is radiation effective in this case and if so, what dose would you use? Is there potential for perforation?

Radiation reliably relieves bleeding but typically does not relieve obstruction. It may be worth trying if there is not an impending obstruction.
