In what situation would you cover the scar of a temporary tracheostomy post-operatively for oral cavity cancer?
There have been some retrospective studies in the literature describing recurrences in the the site of a temporary trachoestomy for head and neck malignancies, although the overall rate appears to be very low. The largest one I could find was this:

Oral Cavity cancer is a very aggressive disease, in particular, oral tongue. I would treat everywhere surgically violated. Nancy Lee
