How long should the duration of hormones be in post-prostatectomy patients receiving salvage RT?
If a patient is deemed high risk enough to require hormones with RT in the salvage setting, how long would you maintain them on ADT? Would you extrapolate from the definitive setting and do 18-24 months? Or indefinitely?

That depends upon why you are giving the ADT. If you think it is just to improve local control in the prostate bed then 6 months should be more than enough. It will be nice to see the updated results of RTOG 9601 which I believe were last presented by @William U. Shipley at ASCO 2010. With a median f/u of 7.1y, the survival curves were separating in favor of supplemental ADT, but not yet significant due to too few events. Caveat = pts in that study...
