There are not many studies looking at treatment for CIPN. Usually our med onc start the patients on Vitamin B6 and if that is not effective Gabapentin. I also recommend acupuncture for patients which seems to be effective especially in patients not responding to Gabapentin. However...

The best way to approach it is with prevention and we found cryotherapy to be very effective and inexpensive method of prevention. Unfortunately, it is not applicable for oxaliplatin.
