When attempting PEEP titration, how long do you wait after decrements or increments to assess for a change in driving pressure?  

This depends on the patient level of consciousness and whether or not they are paralyzed.  

2-3 minutes is conventional more than anything, I think, but this could also change as the compliance changes(meaning can push the PEEP up if can decrease the TV as the pH allows) so maybe not be as important waiting to check but continuing to check after you make the change in the short term (i.e c...
